Recently, with the commencement of pile sinking operations by a marine pile-driving vessel, the Huanghua Port Coal Phase V Project officially began its full-scale construction, injecting new impetus into the expansion of this energy transportation hub and accelerating the establishment of a multifunctional, comprehensive, and modern world-class port.
As a hub port of China’s west-to-east and north-to-south coal transportation, Huanghua Port plays an important role in supporting the integrated operation of coal, electricity, railway, port and shipping for the integrated production, transportation, and sales coal within CHN Energy. The Coal Phase V Project is located on the northern side of the Huanghua Port Phase III and IV projects, expected to build two-line quadruple car dumper unloading system, 18 coal storage silos in three rows and six columns, and four 70,000-tonne coal loading berths. Upon completion, the Company’s coal storage capacity will increase by 540,000 tonnes, raising the annual coal throughput capacity by 53.1 million tonnes and enhancing the total coal transportation capacity from 210 million tonnes to 260 million tonnes annually.
Following the corporate philosophy of “green, intelligent, efficient, and safe”, the construction of this project will stick to the developmental pathway that is green & low-carbon, intelligent & humanistic, efficient & advanced, and reliable & resilient. By emphasizing smart supervision and breaking through port loading and unloading capacities, the project seeks to innovate and optimize system process designs, driving comprehensive automation and digitization of equipment processes while achieving clean and low-carbon energy utilization, thus building a sustainable port system.
