Recently, the Red Cross Society of China announced the Notice on Awarding Medals to Donors Making Outstanding Contributions to Chinese Red Cross Cause in 2024, with Baoshen Railway honored with the 2024 Chinese Red Cross Dedication Medal, which highlights the Company’s exceptional contributions and social responsibilities in the Red Cross cause.
In recent years, Baoshen Railway has proactively promoted the spirit of humanitarianism while advancing high-quality development, engaging deeply in charitable activities. In 2024, the Company donated RMB 500,000 to the Red Cross Society of China Baotou Branch to provide 100 computers for rural schools, the Hayenaobao School and Xinguang Primary School in Kundulun District. In addition, the Company prioritized the support of the Red Cross Society of China Baotou Branch in enhancing comprehensive prevention and control of chronic diseases, donating RMB 100,000 to establish a national demonstration zone project for comprehensive prevention and control of chronic diseases. Furthermore, in collaboration with the Red Cross Society, Baoshen Railway has actively organized publicity and incentive activities in the region focusing on balanced diets and health improvement, for example, the “Three Reductions and Three Healthy Conditions” Program (three reductions in salt, oil and sugar intake and three conditions regarding oral health, as well as healthy weight and bones), fulfilling its social responsibilities through tangible actions and continuously contributing to economic and social development, as well as exemplifying the spirit of dedication and responsibility.
Beyond supporting the local Red Cross Society cause, Baoshen Railway has also made positive contributions to rural revitalization and has developed a series of rural empowerment projects with local characteristics along the railway routes. Targeted poverty alleviation has been provided for comprehensive rural revitalization initiatives, including funding donations, project investments, and organization & coordination. Notable contributions include support for the elderly-friendly renovation project of the nursing home in Xingshunxi Town, Guyang County of Boutou City, cold storage facilities for rural revitalization in Jiaojieyingzi Village of Wanshuiquan Town of Baotou City, and the nature experience centers and shared kitchens for rural revitalization in Wulanjisan Village, Bu’erhantu Town, Kundulun District of Baotou City. These efforts have revitalized local industries and promoted the modernization of agriculture, animal husbandry and rural areas in the resident regions served by the Company.
